If someone has asked MN HQ for it to be deleted or if MN have deleted it.

starlover · 10/08/2005 16:22

oh who was it?

usually happens if someone doesn't abide by the talk policy on here and has been abusive/offensive and been banned or something.
alternately she may have asked them to be withdrawn...

WigWamBam · 10/08/2005 16:23

Sometimes people think that they can be identified by the content of their messages, so they ask for them to be withdrawn. One poster was actually named and her location revealed by someone else, so she had all of her posts withdrawn (she's back now though).

WigWamBam · 10/08/2005 16:24

If someone hasn't abided by the rules and their messages are deleted, it generally says "Message Deleted". "Message Withdrawn" is usually when it's done at the request of the poster. At least, that's what seems to happen.

It was the for sale one wasn't it Trace?

starlover · 10/08/2005 16:25

trace2 · 10/08/2005 16:25

Well if the message was withdrawn on the for sale it's maybe because she's sold all the items.

starlover · 10/08/2005 16:27

it could be as simple as someone in real life found out her name and she didn't want them finding other stuff by her?

trace2 · 10/08/2005 16:29

yes its for a sale, just hope i can get money back

OP posts:
Nbg · 10/08/2005 16:30

Oh dear.

Why don't you CAT the person and start a thread with her name on.

starlover · 10/08/2005 16:30

oh did you pay but she hasn't sent you the stuff?

starlover · 10/08/2005 16:31

if you search archives for her name a thread comes up and her e-mail address is in it...

trace2 · 10/08/2005 16:33

not yet, e-mailed me this morning said i could have money back, so will give her chance, just was worried when message withdrawn,

Isn't that the poster who got upset when someone asked why the pushchair they'd bought from her hadn't arrived? She'd posted it but not when she said she had, and she got a bit stroppy when the person she'd sold the pushchair to wanted to know what had happened to it.

Sounds as if she's taken a huff. Do you have her email address so that you can chase her up?

WigWamBam · 10/08/2005 16:34

Crossed posts ...

trace2 · 10/08/2005 16:36
