What's your budget? Where are you? I've got someone good in London area.

Don't have a recommendation but if our experience with Chaplins (in Hatch near London and in Central London too now) - I certainly would not recommend them.

sorry for the delay. I live in NW London. Decent budget I think.

Hi Seagull

I live in Northwood which is near Hatch End (that Sis mentions) - had very good kitchen guy. Reasonable, does a lot of trade. Bit unreliable to get hold of but if you chase it's ok.

Hi Tillysmummy,

It would be great to follow up on your recomendation. Do you have contact name and number please? Thank you.

Big tip - do NOT get kitchen company to fit it, employ recommended carpenter with plumbing electrical ability or mates. My carpenter friend said it would have taken him a week to fit my kitchen approx £500 but B&Q quoted £3000!!!!! (Not including tiling etc) Luckily dh is quite handy and I just got the carpenter to do the snagging and finishing, £80 bargain.

Seagull, where in nw london? We've just moved from nw10 to w3. I've had my new kitchen (designed by me) done by a very good joiners. But it wasn't cheap. It sort of depends on whether you are looking for the ikea end fo the spectrum or a bespoke kitchen. (ie are you in the £3000-5000 range or the £10,000-£20,000 range? If it's the former, I would recommend Ikea (but not their worktops) with a good fitter. If it's the latter, I'll put you in touch with my joiners.

SofiaAmes,

Your joiners details would be great. Thanks.
