We're priced out of this place - love the community here but did't get into any of the good local schools. Also our house is now too small but the bigger ones for sale around here are too expensive. So - I'm feeling it's time to move on. What to do? Where do people who like to live in stoke newington like to live when they don't live in stokie anymore??
I'm quite happy moving further away - although with good rail links into london, I can probably work from home a few days a week and get away with going into my job near spitalfields 2-3 days a week. But I don't want to give up on socialising in town every once in a while.
I'm at at loss right now, looking everywhere, very unfocused, but my prime concern is community, the ability to communicate outside school gates, I'd hate ending up in boring tory land... I've lived in Hackney for 15 years so.. what else is out there?
How about Harpenden - or south, like Kingston, Dorking, Redhill.... Or just plain old Walthamstow? Someone told be east finchley was reasonable... You can tell how confused I am.
