hi

just got back fromn the hospital. Its been an exhausting 5 days. on the 1st day there i met one of the producers from channel 4, and had a chat. they are very very interested in peters story and the effect it has on the whole extended family. So atm am trying to decide if i want to be filmed or not. i think i will say yes as this will highlight the massive shortage of donor organs available.

Peter is in a bit of pain as the VAD seems to have moved. ouch. they have done mroe tests but everything seems to be fine otherwise. DD2 has seen the actual pump and we explained things to gher, she seemed to take it in her stride so hopefully dd1 reaction will be the same.

Will update more i na bit, need a cuppa lol.!!

all that stopping and starting miaou, u had me on the edge of my seat.

its for a documentry following people and their families whilst they wait for a transplant. the effect it has on everyone, not just the patient. think they'll be filming me doing my incrediable juggling acts.

here it is

Bloody good job I've got a sense of humour, it got to the point where it (almost) wasn't funny any more! However ds is worth it

The documentary sounds really good Misdee, they are likely to be very supportive of you. Is it a one-off, or will they film/follow you over a long period of time?

misdee · 07/08/2005 19:40

it'll be filmed over a 6month or so period. it will hopefully be screened next spring/summer.

Just bear in mind that once it airs you will be inundated with media requests for interviews, if your experience is anything like mine
