Music Festival newbie advice

Hi anyone been to there first music festival in there 40's. I'm tempted to go and camp to get the full festival experience, I feel it's now or never, don't mind camping but have this idelic picture in my mind and I'm also I the type of person who needs there sleep, I enjoy a party but not an allnighter - too old for that now I'm afraid. What is the reality. Any experiences. thanks.

No experience, sorry, and while I can go without sleep for days at a time, I'd probably find a B+B to avoid sleeping in a muddy camp (OK, maybe not muddy, this year the ground might be so dry it is rock hard!)...

While some love the full experience, I think I'd prefer a decent breakfast, a comfy bed, and the chance of a nice relaxing bath or a refreshing shower in a proper house.
