Hi there
Congrats on moving in with your DP - that's exciting.
Are you going to be in the UK?
In which case you should check out the local section of Mumsnet
Also join up at the doctor and ask your HV where good groups are
Go out for a wander and explore with DD and find the swings etc and maybe you'll find some mums there to ask where the groups are?
Does DP have family who can help with this sort of thing?

I went through the same thing as you last summer. I moved to be with DH (long story) with 2 DC in tow. Let me tell you.. it won't be easy and it takes time. For the first 9 months i was lonely and really quite down . We moved into a beautiful house in the middle of no where (it was rent free) and we couldn't afford two cars so sometimes i did not leave the house for 5 days at a time. I was so unhappy and made everyone else unhappy. After we managed to get some money we could afford to move into town.. this was about 6 months ago. I started to go to the local mums and tots and DD to a nuresty 3 times a week. Now i have fantasic friends and life could not be better

What i am trying to say is give it time. Join mums and tots groups and do social things with your DD and you will soon settle.

Children are great to meet new people

Good luck x
