Sorry, probably shouldn't be in AIBU but wasn't sure where to put this.
I noticed tonight that a few of my friends had joined a group called something like "RIP to the two people killed in the bus crash today at XXX". Clicked on it thinking oh no, what happened? Turns out there was quite a serious bus crash involving a school bus this afternoon, and two people were killed. There was a news item link so I clicked on that and saw that it was my old school that the bus had come from. I went back to facebook to join the group and add my condolences on the page, but then glancing down the page, although most people had written things like "RIP and hope the injured people recover quickly", some people were discussing the crash and naming the people who had died etc.
Since the people hadn't been named in the press yet I thought this was awful and potentially very upsetting for those involved/their families etc. I didn't want to spoil the nice messages people had left so I didn't say anything on the group itself but equally I didn't feel I could join to leave a nice message either. I guess that the people leaving messages of this kind are probably teenagers themselves and might not be aware, but it just didn't sit right with me.
