I hate waiting, and it makes me grumpy....

I am patient up to a point, but once that point has passed, I become quite grumpy. I somehow equate people who are not timely as being rude/disrespectful of my time, etc., and if they are vendors/salespeople i don't want whatever they have to sell......even if I need it.

Grrr......I feel like taking my business elsewhere.

Who are you waiting for? That Godot is a bugger.

Should say I'm in another time zone, and am waiting for a call I expected around midday, and it is now end of business with still no word.

Just venting....

My car was declared a total loss 2 weeks ago, and I'm trying to buy another with the insurance money. Am waiting to hear from the car salesman. if there was another dealer who sold what I'm after, I'd go to them.

Aah! I had this last weekend at work. Tis a bummer. Can you call them and politely wonder if you somehow missed their call?

Earlybird · 15/05/2010 00:00

I called 2 hours ago and left a message. Then called an hour ago to check the chap was at work today. He is.

Appearing over-eager ruins my negotiating ability. Terrible customer service.

I know it won't help me to be grumpy when he does finally call, and make sarcastic comments about how they must not want to sell me a car very much......but that is how I feel atm.

Oh I know. It's that feeling that you obviously have nothing else to do in your life than wait for their call. In my case, it's clients. I storm around being grumpy and telling everyone in work how ignorant I think these people are...and then am very nice to them when they deign to appear. Sigh.

Have now been looking online at other car dealers to see what they have available, and have found one 3 hours drive to the east, and another 2 hours drive to the south. They both have the model car I want.

Would it be a bad thing to buy a car from an out of town dealership? I'd have to take the car to the unresponsive folks for service - but presumably they'd honour the manufacturer's warranty.

Seems ludicrous to drive for so long to spend a wad of cash, but if those people are eager for my business maybe that is what I should do...

Go for it if your original seller is being a pita, it's so annoying waiting for a call that doesn't come.

Am mentally composing emails in my head...'since it is apparent that my business is not important to you, I have found someone who is more interested in selling me a car'...but why the hell should I have to drive a long way to buy something that is just down the road?

Getting grumpier.......
