vote for posh chocolates - godiva?

Aha. I've got posh friends like this.

Definitely Smythson stationery with their initials. Vital for all of the thank you letters and suitably posh.

Things I've bought my posh friends are: Fortnum & Mason hampers, stuff from Molton Brown, garden stuff from crocus.co.uk (really nice antique colanders on there at the moment, v.nigella but unique and good for herb gardens), champagne of course, small things from Tiffany, Jo Malone smellies. I'll try to remember some more.

What about a garden centre voucher?
Or a goat from the Oxfam catalogue.

Do they have wine glass charms - I know she's pg but she'll be drinking again eventually. We got given some, thought they were really daft, but they've turned out to be totally ace. Here's one site wine glass charms but if you put "wine glass charms" into google.co.uk you'll get other links. These ones are only £12.50 although admittedly look less classy than the ones we were given (thanks Sestius and sorry for thinking they were daft at first )

How about a personalised poem with a bit of humour in it. I haven't set up a web site yet but have written lots of poems for people to give as gifts. All you need to do is supply me with names and any details of the people it's for (the more the better); I will then write you a poem and e-mail it for you to print and frame. All this for £10.00. You can even have the poem printed onto a mug with an appropriate picture on the back if you like. E-mail me on [email protected] if interested and I will send you an example of something I have written before. Good luck

Are you actually going to the wedding Meggymoo? Is there a wedding list?

TwoIfBySea · 04/08/2005 21:47

Like WWB said, if they have everything then pick something from this site. If they are classy in any way they will appreciate that somewhere in the world is a little better off in their name.

It is what I will be doing this Christmas for people rather than spend money on things they either don't need or could use. In fact I would be so pleased if someone did it for me.
