Repeated text message arriving on landline - Help?!

Our phone has rung 6 or 7 times in the last half hour, with a text message, somebody called Andy who's having a great holiday and will speak to us at the weekend, apparently. Then there's a mobile number to ring to cancel getting texts. But I guess that's a scam.

Any ideas?

you just put the landline number into the send box

I did it to my parents

perhaps he is abroad and not sure if the text is getting through IYSWIM

It has now stopped, thankfully. Can't think of an Andy who should be messaging us, so if he was trying to make sure the message got through he's now wasted a lot of money!

So perhaps he was sending it to 123456

but meant to send it to 113456
