Does anyone remember the general knowledge board game circa 1960's.............

It was the one where you had various subjects akin to trivial pursuits except a figure of a teacher was placed on the centre of the board game where there was a magnet and somehow he would point to the correct answer. I think it worked with a magnet under the mirror.

Me and DH have been racking our brains for this tip of the tongue name of the game!

Oh my mum had that and I remember playing it when we went to my granny's house (I am slightly younger vintage than 1960s ).

Could ask her but hopefully someone else will know first. I can visualise it perfectly

It was this sort of thing wasn't it? Although I'm sure the one I remember looked slightly different.

Yep that is similar. DH says this was the later version of it. Grrrrr, we will be up all night trying to remember!

I remember it too but not the name. I can picture the teacher in mortar board and gown with a long pointer in his hand. Now I'll be up all night thinking of the name.

Dr Magini - The Master Mind - google it!

Could it be Great Marvello. Just looked it up and the figure in the middle was a wizard character. I, like Granny seem to remember and teacher with mortar board and gown with a cane!
