Hi there I need some advice on how tricky it is to get kids in grammar schoolsin Kent. We are thinking of moving to Kent from Northern Ireland. My eldest just done 11+ test for here..scored in top 20% of those taking test..so did v well. Two other younger children who would need school places. I need to know how oversubscribed schools are in the Maidstone/Canterbury area.
I suppose this links to house prices too..in that I don't know whether we could afford to live close to grammar schools.
We would be looking for 4 bed house in nice area for under £350. Is this mad/impossible?
Just need TOTALLY HONEST advice before we make decision to move. Also no idea what areas are like to live in: we are looking for somewhere with greenspace, not too much crime. Have job offer in Glasgow too..any trying to make decision between living in Perthshire ..probably Dunblane, or Kent. Schools and quality of life biggest factors.
Desperately SUPER STRESSED at having to make big decision..would value mumsnet thoughts.
