I'm getting married.....HELP!!!

Dp proposed on my birthday. We are together again after 22 years, should have been his first wife, but that's another story. We want to get married before the end of the year but how and where. We don't really have many friends and there's a bit of bad blood in the family so if so-and-so is coming, then so-and so won't! I really need inspiration and I know you ladies love a wedding, help!!!!

We went abroad and got married there. No family came with us at our request and we had a party when we got home. It was perfect and I wouldn't have changed anything.

We got married in Gretna Green. It was very last minute as we had already cancelled our church and fancy reception due to being pregnant.
All of a sudden after dd was born I really wanted to get married and I heard about Gretna Green weddings.

For £999 you get your service at the Anvil, a nights stay at a local hotel, photographer including your pictures and either a car to take you to the wedding or a Horse and Carriage (our wedding was January so I opted for the car which was an old Bently). For an extra £30/5 you can have the local piper who will play at your wedding too.

The company do all the work for you so your not stressed out with booking everything. We didn't come across 1 problem at all, it was perfect and the people involved like minister, photographer, hotel staff etc were absolutly fantastic.

We invited close family but like you we had some problems in the family so we calmly explained that those people were invited, however it was entirely up to them if they came and if they did they were to remember it was our day and to put problems aside for the day.
