Boys shorts .... mostly below the knee?

Am I the only person in England who hates below the knee shorts on little boys? They gape all around their legs cos they are quite baggy and seem to really disrupt running and climbing.

also they fall and get holes in them! i'm with you. thankfully my ds is a skinny thing so he gets away with wearing them about 2 sizes too small so the length suits me

actually I think next have some shorter ones this year in a 2 pack that I'm about to purchase!

Do you only like above the knee or do you like on the knee ones?

I prefer a good few inches above the knee. good to see those wee legs!

They have some lovely ones in Boden that are above the knee - they are the cheapest ones -I agree they are much better on little boys (my 11yo won't be seen dead in them now unfortunately!).

Also you can get more wear out of them. If you buy a bit bigger they end up say an inch above the knee and then the next year don't look ridiculous being a few inches above the knee. If you buy bigger in knee length ones they end up being ankle length the first year or above the knee the second year and look silly cos they aren't shaped right to be above the knee.

Many of DS's trousers end up as above-the-knee shorts. But at this time of year I do prefer longer shorts -- less scope for frostbite when the weather suddenly changes again...

I'm a 30-something man and I'd like to buy some shorts for me that aren't ridiculous baggy things that come below the knee.

For slim, sporty type males, one's legs are the one's best feature, yet stupid fashions deem I can't have some flattering shorts to show them off.
