Just want to say how pleased I am that Mark Phillippousis has beaten Andre Agassi!! As nice as Agassi appears to be, he's pretty hard to beat and I'm really happy for the Scud that he's finally made it through to the quarter finals. (46 aces! not bad at all).

Yay...........

But don't you get bored watching all those Aces Holly? I really enjoy watching good tennis that involves some rallies and volleys etc ... Players who just ace their way to the final just bore the pants off me. I couldn't stand Pete Sampras for that reason!!

I s'pose so Ghosty... I guess I'm just happy that the last Aussie got through to the quarter finals!

Plus, Mark Philippoussis has had a very up & down tennis career, so it's nice to see him doing well at the moment. I kind of didn't expect Lleyton Hewitt to get knocked out so quickly either.

I know what you mean about Pete Sampras though, the way he effortlessly wiped the floor with just about every opponent he played... it did get very boring after a while.

I guess it is good that there is still an Aussie in but I do like Agassi ... nice player ... pretty gorgeous ... no tantrums etc. I was thinking the other day that he must be really old because he has been around for ever and then I read that he is 33 ... the same age as me!!
Who do you think will win? Do you reckon Henman will do it this year? Somehow I doubt it!!
I hate the fact I can't watch it here though (being 11 hours ahead of the UK I would have to stay up all night to get any live matches!) ... but I catch the highlights in the mornings ....

Don't know about Henman.... I really think the winner will be whoever is in the best form on the day. They probably all have a shot at it now, since some of the best players are out. There are still some pretty good players left in though, like Federer, so who knows.

I hate the fact that I can't sit up & watch it either! I was going to tape the Philippoussis/Agassi match and watch it in the morning, but ds always manages to draw my attention away from whatever I'm watching, so I'd rather do it in peace
