I'm so proud of my friend, she drove to Palestine to deliver humanitarian aid

I'm just so proud of my friend. She believes in non-violent direct action, and so instead of sitting about complaining about what's wrong with the world (I am very guilty of this!) she actually drove out to Palestine at Christmas, as part of a convoy, with a truck full of humanitarian aid - medical supplies, and also children's educational equipment and books etc, and managed to get across the borders. It's not exactly a risk free venture! You may have seen it in the news over Christmas.

She's helped organise a fundraiser in London this evening, with music and food and a live video link up with some of the people she met while she was over there, who will be speaking about non-violent direct action and also playing live music form Palestine. (She met a Palestinian break-dancing group while she was out there!) If any of you are interested, the facebook page is here

It's really easy to get to, it's in a church which is right above a tube station. If you support this kind of thing, or are simply curious, come along!
