Hi all

For the last five months my daughter laura aged 12 months has had pimples. It started on her face and has now spread to her legs and arms. The HV said it was teething rash(!!)when it was her face only and suggested I put vaseline on her cheeks. All this did was make them develop yellow heads which looked dreadful. They look like goosepimples/gooseflesh and are raised and are mostly red. They don't appear itchy and they don't bother her but they are unsightly and detract from her beautiful little face.A few round her mouth look a bit scaley and her cheeks are particuarly bad.. Anyone any ideas?

many thanks
x

hello janep
my ds also has pimples on his face and then they spread to his arms also. I noticed with him that they spread to his arms when I moved him from long to short sleeves so I wonder if it is an allergy to the sun perhaps or some other kind of contact rash. It was redder and more widespread until I cut out dairy from his diet he's only 9 months so he still gets most of his dairy needs from his breastmilk).
I don't really have any other ideas - doesn't seem enough to go to the doctors about but still ... I'd rather he wasn't so spotty!
Hope someone has the answer to clear skin

Thanks for your message Morocco.

May I also add that I use a very plain unscented soap, don't use bubble bath or any scented products, use surcare to wash her clothes and "do" an extra rinse. I've tried aqueous cream, kamilosan to no avail. She gets a varied, wholesome diet and I'm at a loss!

mother-of-spotty!
