f it's 7.35m long x .42m wide it would be 3 not 30 - like multiplying 7 by a half

Twiglett · 25/07/2005 18:51

really? I am so bad at this

ok another one for you

box of tiles .. each tile is 10 x 10cm and there are 10 in a box .. is that 1 square metre

Ameriscot2005 · 25/07/2005 18:54

0.1 x 0.1 x 10

was going to explain - 1m x 1m = 1 sq m - agree?

then 100cm x 100cm = 10,000cm = which = 1 sq m

do you folow?

so 10cm x 10cm x 10 only = 1,000 i.e. 0.1 sq m

Twiglett · 25/07/2005 19:00

so I got the square meterage wrong and the coverage of the tiles wrong

BUT

if I'd done it my way I'd have still ended up with the right number of packs of tiles
