In the Guardian today it says that 10,000,000 children under the age of 5 die EVERY YEAR because of largely preventable diseases/poverty.

What a scary statistic!

Sometimes when I read things like that I think to myself "Why would I want to bring a child into a world like this?". But if everyone thought like that then the world would be an emptier place to be.

Plus the child you bring into the world might be THE one to make all the difference. What if Mother Theresa's mum had thought this & acted on it? (or Ghandi's, or whoever)

Didn't Mother Theresa bring many more children into the world (not personally of course!) due to her views on contraception?
