Match Funding Question

Just wondering if match funding can be done with clubs that aren't a charity, ie: a local amateur theatre company which needs to raise funds? I know match funding works for charities but can random organised groups apply for match funding if one of their members works for a bank for example?

Think it would entirely depend on the rule set out by the funder - one funder might require applicants to be registered charities, and others might allow applications from non-charity groups. Check the requirements of your funder.

Thanks Wigeon - the group hasn't approaced a funder yet; this was an idea I had for fund raising. I've just taken over as chair person and they need fund raising ideas or their pantos may not be going ahead!

Have you got a local Council for Voluntary Service in your area? They might be able to advise you about how to get funding for am dram. A quick google should track yours down.
