I'm going shopping for the first time in Guildford on Thursday. Can anyone tell me where the nicest little shops and prettiest streets are, please?

There are some small streets between the 2 main shopping streets running down towards the river - High St and North street - and behind the Tunsgate centre. Also in White Lion walk/Friary St but not many boutiques , lots of chains.

The upper High Street has the more expensive shops Hobbs, Phase eight, etc.

Tunsgate square has Heals and a continental feel to it.

High street usual stuff M&S, Gap, Monsoon.

Both High streets are cobbled and hilly.

White Lion Walk (I think) Next, Wallis.

The Friary, Top Shop, Hmv, BHS modern shopping centre no character.
