Does anyone know whether dried dog food makes dogs go to the loo alot compared to meat and mixer. ( can't believe I am having to ask this)
My 11 month old lab is on a premium dried food and goes to the loo ten times a day or more ( not exaggerating ) someone suggested the food id too rich for him and to change him to meat and mixer.
He looks fab on what he is on so I am a bit reluctant to change him but need a solution to the poo situation!!

Mine's on Burns 'holistic' (whatever that means!) food which, it claims, has less filler etc so reduces the poo and I would say that it's right - she's v fit and doesn't poo much - one or two smallish ones a day, I suppose. Having said which, she's a lurcher and according to my sis, who has two labs, labs do eat more and thus must poo more!!

Ours has been on dried since he was a puppy (he's 13 now) and is and always has been fit and healthy. Very windy, but can't say that that's due to the food, I think that's just my dog!

We use the dried Pedigree food. It comes in a big yellow sack, but I can't remember its proper name.
