Any other Markers???

Just wondered if there was anyone else up to their ears in exam papers for a pittance? I do it every year and I really enjoy it, but am finding it harder going this year, I think because I am pregnant and still a bit sick. Getting some good laughs as usual, though!
Am I the only one?

Only funny if you are a Geography teacher I think! Best one was 'I know the river is in it's lower course because it is flowing downhill' - yeah, tell me about the times it flows uphill!
I always finish my marking (and I'm not starting another private/state education debate) figuring out that yes, private can help, but you can't buy an education if your child isn't academically inclined. An teacher term for it is TAM - thick as mince. There are certainly a few out there that I have marked in the last week!!!

I am marking year 9 English SATS and have just taken on another 200 and so am up to my ears in it with a very fast approaching deadline... I too have had a couple of funny things. I am on maternity leave and it took me a while to get into it but I agree with oyu - some kids just have it and others just struggle....
