i was wondering what i could get my best friend for her 40th birthday. i want it to be something really special and something that she can keep. she's not really into jewellry or ornaments. she's quite funky and very young at heart. she's into dreamcatchers,chimes,tarot, astrology and that sort of thing would be very grateful for any ideas

What about crystals for the windows - maybe you could get them in her birth stone. Does she have a garden? What about some wind chimes or bamboo chimes - most decent garden centres do a really good selection. What about booking her on a course on tarot card reading or similar.

What about adopting her an animal, or something like that, or naming a star.

If she's into astrology, how about getting her chart done by Liz Greene - you can buy them online at astro.com and apparently they're really good
