Has anyone a good remedy for getting rid of blisters and preventing them returning.

I have got a lovely pair of pretty sandals which I wore for the first time yesterday but they have given me blisters on the inside of each foot where the strappy bit has been rubbing.

They are very pretty, dainty sandals but at the moment I can't wear them as I was crippled at the end of the day yesterday - couldn't change the shoes as I was at work and had to get train home.

The blisters are full of water(?) at the moment but I can't pop them. Even if I did pop them rather than wait for them to disappear on their own, what is the chance of me being able to wear these sandals without blisters re-appearing.

Get the special blister plasters you can buy from any pharmacy - they are like a second skin and won't create more rubbing like elastoplast type plasters will.

In Oz, not sure if you can get them here, you could buy very thin blister plasters which were as delicate as peeling a layer of your own skin off i.e. the thickness of the skin that's on the top of a blister. I think the ones here are thicker.
