We have a water softener
Is it safe for my baby (4.5 months old) to drink this water (after boiled) as I am worried about the salt. Would appreciate some good advice!

Alibubbles is right - no-one should drink the softened water: you should have a separate cold water tap.
Hard water is actually good for drinking as it contains extra calcium - good for bones. Some this hardness will be removed by boiling (which you should do until baby is 1) (it becomes the scale you see in your kettle) but will be beneficial after that.
