Computer: norton security about to run out anybody know of any free downloadable security

I had a few web addresses and threw the piece of paper out with them on a while ago but before I did I passed them on on a thread asking the same thing. I am terrible at finding previous threads so please if anyone has any web addresses for free security for computers and firewalls please could you let me know.

For anti virus I use Avast. It is free for home use, with no restrictions I don't think. Seems to work well, better than AVG did for me anyway.

Much appreciated! I've only had this computer for 2-3 months and in that time i've had a few viruses which norton has got rid of, but have been strongly reccommended by I.T. teacher that the free ones are just as good if not better than the one you pay for.
