Hi Simone and welcome to mumsnet. I live just outside Poole, but used to live in Kingston a few years ago. Got very confused when I went back and they'd changed the one way system round Bentalls to the opposite direction.

yeah and they have built laods of new flats by the gas works and a huge sainsburys on the richmond road too x

Crikey! Probably wouldn't recognise the place now. Is there still a nightclub by the bridge? Cinderella's in my day. Lots of big hair and white stilettos!

no i dont think so i thing they have gone up on the world and it is mostly posh cafe bars all along the river front they have built a huge cinema,bowling,resturants complex did u know that? x x

I didn't know, I was just sat here trying to remember the last time I was in Kingston. I think it was my neice's 21st, pre dd, and we went to a nightclub on the opposite side of the one way system to Bentalls. My sister and I were easily the oldest in the place by at least 20 years! We got in free as the bouncers thought we were game old birds I think .
