Have a meeting tommorow night and my position is based on a history lesson from 25 years ago, and I can not find my old books...
Need a reference re the repealed tax laws (~1750ish) that used the revenue from a specific tax for a specific task, ie a tax on say bread would be used to pay for, say, new warships.. Obviously a stupid idea..!?
Did I remember this or make it up??
