I have been upset about :

mothers, husbands, childbirth, childcare, benifits, mortgages, am i good mum, do people like me,
clothes, cancer,shopping,flirting,drinking, mumsnet,breakfast,dinner, lunch, breastfeeding, nappies, life, love, guilt,sex,religion, men, brothers, sisters, god, periods, lack of periods, crying too much, not crying enough, am i ugly, am i pretty, am i fat, am i thin, and does my bum look big (in these clothes) can i relax, can any women

Forestfly join the club. I worry about everything too and sometimes I wish I could just chill out and not care about anything at all. You know, we should be more like men and either a) pretend it isn't there or b) ignore it and hope it will go away. My dh is like that, I'm positive he has an ON/OFF button that he just switches when he doesn't want to think about anything. Wish I could do that...

My partner can just not think about things - he says it's a choice, whereas I just lie there in bed at night for hours thinking about various things on Firefly's list and more - even when I do the relaxation bit they keep popping up. Do you think we don't do enough during the day ?? (joke)
I also think about death, dying, not being there for my children when they need me, getting old, poor people,hungry children,sad animals ..I could go on..(please don't)

My ON/OFF switch is alcohol! Not healthy but it works. I don't give a shit about what people think of me and what I look like after I've had a few glasses of wine.

So were all over thinking alcholics, should we be mums?
