I am on the verge of buying one and trading in my Audi A3.

I had a mini cooper, but when I found out i was pregnant with no.3 i changed it, a decision Ive regretted every day since , once youve had a mini its hard to go to anything else.

dh suggested I get a clubman because it has 3 seats in the back and more boot space. I thought they were horrible when they first came out but they have grown on me and I now think theyre quite funky!

Has anyone got one?
Or just what do you think of them generally?

minis are just TOO SMALL imo

they are, but at least the clubman is a little bigger than the hatchback, and you do get into them every day and think 'YESSSSSS', theyre so much fun!

hi mosschops30
ive got a mini cooper clubman!

black and silver and love it!

theres only me dh and ds1 but also lots of space for luggage shopping footy kit etc.

ds1 and his friends love how the suicide door opens.

theres no spare wheel cos they are run flat tyres. so you can take away part of the boot floor for more space.

not quite got hang of all the buttons and switches (had it since may 090 but its great fun and really nippy and a full tank is only £38 and road fund tax is £35 a year!!!

i could go on and on .............

hth

thanks costa wow £38 on tax is pretty great, my audi is £96 for 6 months and not as good on fuel as my old mini cooper i dont think!
The one Im looking at is black and silver too.
I know about the hell of run flat tyres, but its a price worth paying to have another mini, I am positively when I see someone drive past in one and pine for mine
Going back to the garage on friday to hopefully do a deal.
I have 3 dcs but tis rare we will all use my car as a family because dh has a big audi which is the main family car when we go anywhere far or need boot space for luggage etc

I have one, was my main car with 2 DCs, fine, but now we have DC3 on the way I have traded up to a ginormous car and my Dh has the clubman
It is a fab drive, the cooper s, really nippy but it is near impossible tricky fitting 3 people across the back seat even children, it is really a 2 back seater, they were taking the piss describing it as fitting 3 across the back

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 20/01/2010 13:50

I would love one of the new mini's.

My first car was a mini (very old) and no car has ever lived up to it. They are such fun cars and so nippy.

luckywinner · 20/01/2010 13:52

Mosschops, get one. I too sold my mini when I was pregnant with dc1. I am now in the process of persuading my dh to trade in our saloon for one. They are so much fun and fab to drive. Who cares about boot space . You could always get one of those boxes to put on the roof for when you need more luggage space.

We live in central london and i think they would be perfect.
Get one get one get one. I am v .

mosschops30 · 20/01/2010 20:50

well am hpoing will never need to put 3 across the back as rare that all 5 of us will be in my car.
Im sooo excited now, just hope we can come to the right agreement on price.

Is soooo true that once youve driven a mini it is very difficult to go back to anything else, my audi is a snoozefest in comparison
