Just had an email me informing me of this shock development, which takes effect from today. Gulp. How will the world cope?

They are offering a free trial of the electronic version. Whatever that means. Can't you just click on Times Online for free anytime?

It's a sad day and no mistake.

You can get an online version of the Times for free. There is also a version which is more of an exact replica of the print version, and that is usually subscription-oonly.

To be honest, I never read the copy of the Times that Ocado delivered with the shopping anyway as always have late time slots and have read the news online by the time I got the shopping and the paper...

PuppyMonkey · 18/01/2010 09:00

I can see this is not causing quite the outrage I'd anticipated, damn it.

People just don't care, PuppyMonkey. I think they're callous, but there you are. I feel for you.

SparrowFflamau · 18/01/2010 17:54

why have tesco never given me a mail?

MrsJohnDeere · 18/01/2010 17:56

I only get The Times with about half of my Ocado orders anyway. The drivers often tell me that they weren't given any copies that day, or only had a handful and have run out.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 18/01/2010 17:56

Tesco have never given me my shopping, never mind The Mail. Gits.
