I have given up drinking for 50 days, I'm on day 42 and desperately want to give in

And I mean desperatley. I was nearly in tears last night I wanted a drink so much. Dh was drinking wine and I got into such a state about it. He says that as the ban is self inficted I should just have a drink if I want one, but I think it's a very bad sign if I want a drink sooooo badly

What would you do? He's got a glass of red wine now and it looks lovely!

I think you are brilliant - that is a long time to give up something you really enjoy.
I only drank at weekends last year when I was trying to lose weight and sometimes I SO wanted a glass of wine - I drank fizzy water which seemed to get me through it. And water is so good for you.

Yeah, do 51 days, lilibet,just to show you can!

I did 8 weeks with no booze recently (inspired by Puff who did 6 months I believe). Happily it wasn't too hard as I live in Eastern Turkey where a large proportion of the population view alcohol as the work of the devil.

Was lovely to wake with a clear head and sparkling eyes every day!

The 50 are up on the 13th July!
