I'm in now and it's working fine (www.boden.co.uk)....

Hmonty · 26/06/2001 16:04

Don't bother. Everything seems to be out of stock!

Rhiannon · 26/06/2001 20:47

I had a leaflet through which said buy 3 items get the 4th (and cheapest) for a £1.

Tusky · 26/06/2001 22:00

I've tried several times today and just get the site busy page - but if everythings gone....

I was looking for tops and trousers for boys 2-3 and 3-4 and I found one thing still available! Lots of pink stuff...Useful, Not! Shame though. I haven't been to their site before and they had some nice things and some of the sales prices were bargains. I'm goping back today to register in the hope that I'll get notified next time there's a sale and can get there early!

Rhiannon · 27/06/2001 11:17

Hmonty, I've finally just got on to the website and my order was available. I've just ordered the Indigo Baggy Trousers 4652BCK in a 2-3 and the Brushed Tartan Baggy Trousers in a 2-3 (they're navy not listed in sale brochure) and a matching set for my 6 year old!

Ems · 27/06/2001 12:19

After seeing this thread, I telephoned instead today and got 5 out of 6 items, I was expecting it to be alot worse. I had to hold for several minutes, but not ages and ages.

Tigermoth · 27/06/2001 12:53

Having read all this I thought I'd give the website a go. About 50% of the items I wanted had sold out, but I was still able to order 2 or 3 things. Some of the heavy winter items, like the children's fleeces, have been reduced by about 75%.

Zaria · 27/06/2001 15:42

I don't know the list of locations, but Boden do various sales in halls around the country. They come to my area at the start of September. Might be worth waiting for this one, as they have loads of stock and you can see what you want (mind you, its a bit of a bunfight, like the first day of the Harrods sale!!)

Rhiannon · 27/06/2001 16:28

Tigermoth, ever since I read about the 75% off I've been trying to get back on the website for the best part of 4 hours with no luck!

Rhiannon, I do hope I am not over-selling it. I looked mostly in the mini Boden section and it was the fleeces that especially caught my eye:£5 or £6 as opposed to approx £20.00. Their lovely knitwear, unfortunately, did not have such a big discount. Children's jumpers were about £20.00 down from £40.00 though, so not bad. Good luck!

Rhiannon · 27/06/2001 17:20

I've just got through, yippee but there was something wrong, nothing worked. Aargh! back to square one. Stay off you lot it's my turn!

Rhiannon · 27/06/2001 17:21

Oh and by the way if anyone is interested the M & S sale sale starts tomorrow (Thurs) at 8am.

My budget doesn't normally stretch to Boden but i would have looked at their sale items - but doesn't appear to be much left judging from previous postings.
Girls, can you recommend any other sites for children's clothes (not High St)?
GRIPE - there is never much of a choice for boys but racks and racks of girls clothes, do you think?

Off to M&S sale tomorrow then ...

Tusky · 28/06/2001 09:30

hoorah ! no luck on the internet site, but I rang and got through and everything I wanted was available (yesterday pm) ...now feel guilty for spending money on clothes for me,though did get nice top and belt for my boy. Jodee, Pedlars has nice clothes (mail order),they're a bit expensive I think, but the night shirts I bought for me and my son are lovely and very well made -

Not impressed by M & S sale this morning, really had to hunt for the bargains. Was looking for a suit for dh but not much there.

I've bought off the kids-stuff.co.uk website. I bought Union Jack jumpers and gingham trousers for my 2!

Lizzer · 29/06/2001 11:43

Hi Jodee - there are a couple of clothes sites that I've used and have been great, but can be quite pricey given the makes they sell but are small and personal websites with v v good service and gorgeous clothes, also worth looking out for the sales, they are: www.mischiefkids.co.uk and www.totos.co.uk.

Toto's have lovely toys too -we got my little girl's merrythought teddy from there.

Jodee · 29/06/2001 19:12

Hi Lizzer & Tusky, thanks for the info about the clothes sites, I will check them out.

Cheers.

Star, if you register with the website they'll send you an email. Plus, they have a system where you can choose to only look at products they have in stock in your sizes! Lovely.. finally someone getting the point of what's so good about the combination of computers, the internet and shopping.
