Deliveries from online sales - Debenhams

Can't believe we don't have a Shopping topic but anyway. Just got a despatch email from John Lewis for my order placed on Monday but haven't heard anything from Debenhams yet (order Xmas eve). Anyone received their sale orders yet and can advise approximiate timings please ? Do Debenhams normally send status updates ?

I've bought stuff from Debenhams before (last time, a month ago) and they sent status updates. This is in the email:

"If you don't receive an order status update email from us within 2 working days of placing your order, please contact our 'Online Customer Services Team'.

Debenhams send me loads of status updates, far more than any other online company. Ordered just before Christmas too - 1st parcel arrived, 2nd one on its way. Sounds like you need to use HHIBTM's phone nos and find out what's happened to it.

Half of the stuff I ordered on Christmas Eve arrived yesterday and I have had an email informing me the rest of the order has been despatched.

I'd give them a ring as you hear nothing.

doh, just looked back through emails and was sent one I must have missed on Sunday saying order was despatched - just as well I checked!

hurrah - both out for delivery today ....

aargh they've sent wrong size and no longer on the website.

A positive postscript : no reply from the Direct department (presumably due to BH) but went into the Guildford branch yesterday on the off chance and they could not have been more efficient and helpful in finding a replacement pair of shoes, correct size.

I ordered Xmas Eve from Debenhams and received the order on the Bank Holiday Monday (28th) which surprised me- but my local courier said he was doing overtime as he had so much to deliver. Still havent received my M&S order as most of it has been delayed or later sold out which annoys me as why sell it if they don't have the stock

i used them a year ago and they were so bad i've never used them since. i ordered 8-10 things and they delivered 2 and charged me for 1 thing they didn't even send. they were easily the worst online company i've ever used.
