I've recently started selling lipsticks etc on Ebay and although I don't make a massive amount of money, I make a small profit and I enjoy it. So I decided to branch out into clothing. I spent ages looking at wholesale sites and doing the research to see what kinds of things make a profit. I decided to spend £80 (a lot of money to me) on 10 womens tshirts- brands like Von Dutch, Diesel etc in the hope of making some profit. They arrived today and I'm so disappointed I feel gutted. They are cheap, nasty and tatty. Have I just been very naive in expecting them to be genuine? I've been back to the wholesale site and they do lead you to believe them to be genuine. I could sell them on Ebay but I wouldn't feel very honest doing so as they would be vastly over priced. Any advice? I feel like such a mug to throw £80 down the drain. Thanks for listening.

hi
if wholesalers make u think they are real then contact them and ask can they prove the items authenticity as you are concerned about the quality and dont think you will be able to sell them on.

did you buy them through ebay or pay through paypal? report the site to them if you did. dont think i would resell them as genuine but you could sell them for what they are.

gigglinggoblin I paid through Paypal. I haven't been in touch with the company yet but am certainly thinking of it. I just wasn't sure if people quite happily buy these kinds of things turning a blind eye to the authenticity. If I sell them on Ebay my rating might suffer.

contact company and tell paypal as they can usually nget a refund

i would not turn a blind eye and i think your rating will certainly suffer. have never been on the sharp end of a complaint so not sure how it works but if you get complained about then there is the possibility that you will have to refund the money they paid for the top and also postage charges, leaving you out of pocket. i would contact company, then paypal if you get no joy. good luck

Thanks everyone. I'll contact the company tomorrow.
