lisalisa that is such a lovely story about your little boy. You're so right, if only everyone was that tolerant.

Not sure I agree with "here if jewish people don't observe the religion they tend to be quite scathing about it." (can't believe I'm arguing on a religious thread - what have i let myself in for !!!! ). I am jewish, bought up in a jewish home although not observant of all laws. I have married outside the faith but am proud of my religion and am bringing up my boys to know they are jewish. I can't remember the last time I went to shul, but it would have been for a wedding or Barmitzvah, and most of my jewish friends and family would fall into the same catagory.

oh, and i'll definitely vouch for lisalisas family being lovely, and not at all "run of the mill"!

at today's events. How can people think that god/God wants them to do such terrible things?

Hopefully there are lots of children like lisalisa's ds, and they will make the world a better place than we seem to have done.
