Stain removal - how boring can I get?!

Yes, this is boring but I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.
During my last period I leaked onto my khaki coloured cotton trousers and despite putting biological stain remover on the mark and then washing in warm water I can't get the stain out. How do you remove it, or have a ruined my trousers?

You should have soaked it in cold water, as warm water sets the stain. It's hard to shift blood stains once they're set, but you could try a stain remover.

Haven't got anything useful like that in Italy Fishfinger but I'm heading to the UK soon so I'd better get some then.
