Oh I'm feeling so pruned of myself!!!

I've just phoned DS's school for the first time in 2 years.

Mightn't sound so brilliant but he's taught through Gaeilge, which don't speak but have been learning recently. Parents are expected to speak in Gaeilge too whenever they are on school grounds or on the phone.

I've on one else to boast (to DS2 doesn't seem interested). Mind you call I manged was to apologise that i wasn't going to speak as Gaeilge then I went into English!!

Mindless boast over

Oh, well done.

I remember feeling so chuffed the first time I phoned DD's school and spoke to the teacher in French.

Pruned I hope you know I meant proud and that I'm not currently cutting off parts of myself to improve shape and/or growth

I usually chicken out and make DH do it - but he's selfishly in hospital today. How rude of him.

It's not a dead language. (if you mean a language that's dead like Latin)

Certainly not that widespread but it's defiantly not dead, the fact that I have to endure Ben 10 in it tells me that much.
