How much a years car tax costs for a car 1.4 engine?

Sorry to be so boring, dvla website is not loading and my tax is due at the end of the July, just trying to work out my figures!

I'm about to pay mine, it's £170 for a 2l engine. I think it's 1.1 and under that's the cheaper tax.

mine is £125 for a year £68 for 6 months for a 1.4 Clio

Those figures I gave are from the DVLA site - it seems to be loading ok.

Thanks SG, another reason to change my car for a smaller one. I hate my big old tank and want a Corsa instead. DH can't understand why I don't want to drive a BMW. He doesn't understand "it just gets you from A to B".

My car was registered in Jan 2001, so just misses out on the new system, had it been registered in March 2001 i would only have to pay 105! Thats a whole £5 i could be saving.

That is very true HMC. We rolled a previous BMW in an accident (not dh's fault, someone pulled out in front of him). It didn't have an undented panel on it having done a complete turn sideways and once over onto its roof. We climbed out of the windscreen practically unscathed. If it had been the Fiesta I had at the time I dread to think what would have happened.
