Arghhhhhhhh we've got no water

No one has, and when you ring the bloody helpline you get cut off

That is terrible - do you have any bottled water/drinks for the children?
Surely they will sort it out soon - have you tried their website?

Have one and a half bottles of water in fridge.

Have tried the website too but no joy there either.

Some complete stranger did just ask us if we wanted him to get us any bottled water whilst he was at the shop though.

This reminds me of a story from a few years ago in Dublin.

The water board had to shut down a main pipe for several hours on Christmas Eve, they had an advert/warning on National radio, my Mum heard it and I was thinking OMG what a thing to happen.

My DM was being very matter of fact, well forewarned is forearmed, they will be fine.

Then they started announcing the affected areas starting out of the county and moving closer and closer to the suburbs, when they got to our area, she gave a little shriek and then it was all systems go...............
