We're looking at buying a cycle seat for dd (20m) and one of those cycle things which attach to the back of an adult bike but still giving the chance for ds to pedal (nearly 4). Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?

I'd also like to get a bike seat for my DD (12 months) so interested in the comments you get back.

The one we had was a Rhode Gear one - the reason we picked this one was that you fixed a pannier rack to both my bike and dh's (the seat comes with one but you can buy additional ones) the seat was then interchangeable between the two bikes. Have to admit though that we didn't use it as much as we had hoped as the roads near us are very busy and there are limited cycle ways. It is in the garage so if anyone wants to buy the pannier racks for their own bikes (mine now used for other things) they can have it - not sure if I still have the instructions though!! Found this on the web

I am wondering too and started a thread the other day on the same topic !

Have a look here for the responses I got.

I had a go on a rented one today and we both enjoyed it but I wouldn't be happy on a road with one
