Bonjour madame gggl!

Tinker · 20/06/2005 09:56

Last year, everyone seemed to be called Elodie. Couldn't have that though. That list Jan - now I'll have to have more babies to use of some of those gorgeous names.

Marina · 20/06/2005 09:57

Crumbs, following on from Janh's jaw-dropper, I am feeling relieved that Tinker is not a Lorca fan...
(Martirio? Angustias? Robert Graves' Majorcan friend's showstopper Dolores Fuertes de la Barriga (Awful Stomach Pains))

Violette??

Nightynight · 20/06/2005 10:02

Manon

Most of dd's little classmates have English or Bible names (Laura, Sarah, Deborah, Tiffany)

Deborah has a gorgeous pronounciation in French, something like "Dibulkhah"

Lidia, Taos, Noura,
Anya, Dihya, Jeddjiga, Lalla, Lyaqut, Mellilla, Megduda....

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:02

at that soapbox = mother's name.

bakedpotato · 20/06/2005 10:08

Oh, another vote for Amandine, please, please
Was fantasy middle name for DD2 (who turned out to be DS)

soapbox · 20/06/2005 10:09

Ahhhh - perhaps not then

Janh · 20/06/2005 10:10

Angelina isn't on that French list but might you be allowed that? One of the Chernobyl children staying here this month is called that and she is the dearest little girl.

roosmum · 20/06/2005 10:14

love agnes - with the soft 'g' (an-yess)

amandine - very pretty too!

roosmum · 20/06/2005 10:14

wow, yes, LOVE angelina

hoxtonchick · 20/06/2005 10:17

ines (or is it inez)

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:17

Thank you everyone. Will print off and peruse.

invisiblegirl · 20/06/2005 13:31

Angelina is a lovely name but in view of the aniston/jolie thing on right now might there be lots in a few years, like Kylie ?

Bibiboo · 20/06/2005 13:39

I hope I'm not too late coming in with Elise. It's my dd's middle name and I love it! I was almost her first name but we went with a Welsh one instead.

Although if her first name is what i've just (poss) worked out it is, then it would sound awful with Elise!

Keep us informed of Mr T's decision.

I know an Ondine.
