Does Father Christmas need to be CRB checked?

Hi Wonder if you can help. We are having trouble finding a father christmas to hand out gifts at our pre school bazaar. A couple of dads have said they will do it, but they are not CRB checked - do they need to be if the parents are always there and there is a CRB checked committee or staff member with them?

Any advice appreciated.

As far as I know as long as there is someone who is CRB checked with them and doesn't leave them alone you are fine. Especially as you'll have the parents as well.
If you want to be really cautious just don't let them sit on his lap.
