I really need to go back and revisit the islands, especially as they may not be there for much longer what with global warming.

I need about £5000 to make sure it's perfect.

I could also do with a capsule holiday wardrobe.

I think it's a joke, don't be so holier than thou. And the other thread about a school uniform does remind me of those ones in Private Eye where people ask for large sums of money to finance their education etc.

I think the op was referring to the charity sponsorship holidays - you know, walking the great wall of china, machu piccu (sp?), that kind of thing. Which most people agreed should not be supported. And in that context, I thought it was funny.

This is probably in reference to the thread asking for uniform.
