Salmon!! Mingin!! I can't stand fish. dp loves it. Like fishin for them though, in the clear Scottish rivers, tricklin through the deep misty glens.

MandyD · 29/05/2003 23:18

Negative on both, Whymummy! I've found a pair of the troosers in the local factory shop for £8 so might give them a try!

And I'm Southern born and bred but met some Geordies in London in the early '80s and met up with them 10 yrs later when they came back for the work (shades of Auf Wiedersehn Pet...!)

Used to travel up to the Toon with them at weekends. All were members of a motorcycle club with the word "Out" at the start of the name, IYKWIM. Up there I met some other people including one of the very first Black bikers (who introduced me to after hours at the Blue Anchor!). Also knew a little guy called Robin and his missus Bel, Big Rob who's permanantly based in the south now, Mick...let me know if you know the people I'm talking about 'cos I'd love to get in touch again!!

Ghosty · 30/05/2003 03:52

I went out with a Scot when I was at Uni ... he was the most gorgeous bloke in the whole world ... he looked just like the bloke on the box of Scott's Porridge Oats.
Whenever there was a 'do' like a ball or something he always wore his kilt ... with all the trimmings ... sporran ... skein doo (sp.?) ... the proper shoes with the laces up his legs ...
I just used to melt ....
I still go week at the knees when I think of him...
Yum ....
