Old shoes what do you do?

I have bag loads of these most in pretty ggod nick. It seems a shame to bin them but our local second hand shop wont take them. Anybody know of any good ideas ....

I've always used shoe recycling bins, there are some with the other recycing bins at the supermarket, also outside cobblers and start-rite shop. The shoes either get sent to 3rd world countries or the materials are re-used. I recycle clothes that can't be passed on or charity shopped too.

And Wyndsors World of Shoes usually has a recycling bin for shoes.

If you do a search there was another thread about this previously. The concensus seemed to be the recycling bins as mentioned here IIRC.

Thank you all I shall look out for a bin. Anyone know if there is one in Bristol I havent seen but then I havent looked before as I have just hoarded until now.

They are normally in a supermarket car parks - near other re-cycling bins.

Our supermarket has a Salavation Army recycling container and they take anything wearble. HTH
