When I was little I wanted to be called Amanda, or more precisely Mandy, but I am happy with what I have got now!!

I'm not telling you! Suffice it to say it rhymed (before I married and changed my surname ) and I got teased at school.

I wanted to be called Penelope, after Miss Pitstop of course

When I was little and read the Bunty or the Judy, there was Sonia the slave girl,( masochistic tendencies obviously) and I loved Moira too. Now I'd like something very sophisticated or charming and unusual rather than the name I have "Oh, that's what my granny's / great aunt's called !" but I can't think what, any ideas?

I think I must be unique cos I love my name. Kept all of it when I got married and ds has my surname!

I love my surname (which DH took, & all the kids have), but I've always hated my first name.

As a child I wanted to be called Bonnie.... now I'm really glad I'm not!

I've tried renaming myself but it's very difficult to think of anything. I can name children & animals with no problems (says she with a cat called Russell... thanks DH.. ) but naming yourself isn't quite the same. Bit like those transexuals who always end up called Patricia or Tiffany..
