Aahh! My four year old has somehow managed to get Nutella all over the carpet (oatmeal coloured). I'm too scared to touch it in case I make it worse... anyone know what I should do?
Thanks

Lick it!

Seriously though, I'm afraid I've no idea. Do you have 1001 Carpet Stain remover?? I find that works really well on mine.

From a stain removal website...

Chocolate- Stain Removal on Carpet and Upholstery

----------------

  1. Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent (a mild
detergent containing no alkalies or bleaches) with a cup
    of luke-warm water. Blot.

  2. Mix one tablespoon of household ammonia with a half-
    cup of water. Blot.

  3. Repeat step one.

  4. Sponge with clean water. Blot.

There are stain removal websites????

SamboM - That sounds awfully complicated. What detergents are there in the home that are not Alkaline of bleach based?

I know this might sound strange but I've found that 'wet wipes' seem to remove everything. Could be worth a try!

I have no idea M2T! I just looked up stain removal chocolate and loads of websites came up!

M2T · 27/05/2003 14:37

SamboM · 27/05/2003 14:44

SamboM · 27/05/2003 14:44

There are indeed stain removal websites, such as Howtocleananything.com so you could try searching there if you're still not sure.
