Child Sponsorship

Does anyone do this? Who do you do it through? Are there any agencies to avoid?

Have considered this for a while and especially now DD is older I think it would be a good way to involve her in some charity based stuff.

Anythign else I should know?

i could ask friends who are planning on moving to Rwanda to help run an orphanage, i think they sponsor a child there.
